Does it Matter Which Guitar Cab IR Loader You Use?

Don't forget that there's a video on this topic on this page too! Scroll down!

In today’s video, I’m using the Fortin NTS Suite through the ML Sound Lab IR called “The Best IR In The World,” which is loaded into an assortment of third-party guitar cab IR loaders. In this way, we’ll determine if it matters which guitar cab IR loader you use! Each IR loader is not using any of its settings to modify the sound in any way, it’s simply loading up the IR for use.

The loaders I’m comparing are GetGood Drums’ Studio Cabs: Zilla Edition, STL Ignite – NadIR, STL Ignite – Libra, and Lancaster Audio’s Pulse. Studio Cabs: Zilla Edition and STL Ignite – Libra both cost $50 each, while the other two IR loaders are 100% free, so I’m looking to find out if you’re paying for better sound quality or just for additional features and included IRs.

I hope you get something out of this! If you do, be sure to sign up for the Beneath the Bunk Studios Newsletter for updates on new blog posts and videos by clicking here. Also feel free to click/tap any of the circle icons below to follow me elsewhere.
